Piney Grove Kids

(Infant-6th Grade)

The children’s ministry at Piney Grove Baptist Church seeks to come alongside parents to raise a generation of children who will seek God (Ephesians 3:17-19), serve others (Acts 1:8), and stand strong in their faith against the storms of life and the fiery darts of the Devil (I Corinthians 16:13.) In Short, Digging Deep, Reaching Out, and Growing Strong.

Piney Grove cares about your kids!  Our volunteers partner with the parents to teach biblical truths and love the children unconditionally, just as Christ loves us.  We are honored to share how Jesus is the Son of God.  He died for our sins, rose from the dead, and will come back again!

Vacation Bible School

Summer brings Vacation Bible School - a yearly event of energetic fun, music, crafts, Bible stories and wacky game play.  It is open to the community and parents are invited to help or attend a Bible study.

Piney Grove Kids Small Groups

Sunday Mornings

Here is a breakdown of our teaching times on Sunday morning:

Preschool Small Groups:

  • The Gospel Project:   A chronological study of the Bible to teach preschoolers the Bible is one big story about God’s love for them through Christ. The Gospel Project® for Kids brings Bible stories to life through video, music, activities, and more.

Children’s Dept. Small Groups:

  • 2nd/3rd Grade:  Faithful to All His Promises1.  Faithful to All His Promises is a study for children on the promises of God. Children will not simply learn about some of God's promises; they will also discover what it means to trust in those promises.  They are God's gift to us, not something we deserve.
  • 4th/5th Grade:  To Be Like Jesus1.  What is salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? This curriculum helps answer these important questions by explaining elements of the Gospel message, its purpose, and its promise.
  • 6th Grade:  My Purpose Will Stand1.  The goal of My Purpose Will Stand is to so reveal God and His glorious work of providence that through the Holy Spirit’s work in the teaching of His Word, students would respond to God in faith as they look for God’s providence in all things—meditating on His works, seeing the big picture of God’s work in the world, and seeing the hand and heart of Jesus in all circumstances of their lives.

Mission Groups

Wednesday Nights

Through Mission Friends, Royal Ambassadors and Girls in Action our kids learn about people near and far that need to hear about Jesus and about those who are showing these people His great love. In contrast to our “me-centered” world, our mission groups also provide the children opportunities to put their faith into action through local service and ministry projects.

Children's Choir

Sunday Evenings

Our children's choir meets on Sunday nights and strives to lead children to experience the joy of music and how to use it to glorify God. Each year the kids present two musicals and occasionally help lead worship during our Sunday services.  Check the church calendar for meeting times and dates.
