VBS FOOD TRUCK PARTY

June 9-12, 2022

Serving up the best time of the summer!

 New friends • Creative games

Super-fun snacks • Surprising adventures • Incredible music

We'll be on a roll with God!

At Piney Grove Food Truck Party VBS, kids will enjoy an interactive, energizing, Bible-based good time as they get on a roll with God. They will become Chefs and discover how we can turn to God in prayer every day to meet our needs and how we can join God in providing for the needs of others. After a high-energy Opening Assembly time, the Chefs make their way to fun stations that include music, crafts, games, snacks, stories, & MORE!

VBS IS FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE COMPLETED K-6th GRADE.

Event is FREE; Community Invited!

What about Preschoolers (ages 3-5)? VBS is ONLY open to preschoolers whose parent(s) is volunteering at VBS. Once the parent signs up as a volunteer, then instructions on how to register their preschooler will be provided. If you wish to volunteer, please contact Children's Minister, Michelle Frye.

Then, we will make our way outside for a family fun Celebration that includes FREE Food Trucks (serving up tacos, hot dogs, and ice cream), Inflatable Water Slides, and more!

Bring lawn chairs & towels.

Children will get wet so have them wear bathing suits under their clothes.

VBS MISSION PROJECT

The VBS mission project is to collect 10,000 non-perishable food items for the Pine Acres Community Center right here in Fuquay Varina.

WHAT'S THE CHALLENGE? It will be boys vs girls of bible school AND men vs women of the church, so make sure to bring lots of food so your team will win.

If the BOYS & MEN lose- Pastor Steve EATS CRICKETS!

If the GIRLS & WOMEN lose- VBS Director, Olivia Collier EASTS CRICKETS!

The competition has already started so load up your wheelbarrows, grocery carts, wagons, and anything else that will carry non-perishable food items and get them to the Grove.

ITEMS BEING COLLECTED

  • Rice
  • Peanut butter & Jelly
  • Boxes of pasta & Pasta sauce
  • Oatmeal
  • Grits
  • Canned veggies
  • Canned meats

Collection bins labeled for Boys and Girls are located in the Welcome Center & Church Office.

ABOUT PINE ACRES COMMUNITY CENTER: Pine Acres currently provides food for 200+ families twice a month and runs a summer children's feeding program, that serves 800 kids. This program started during COVID as a result of the heightened need and awareness of local food insecurities in our community. The Community Center's Executive Director, Bryan Haynes (also an Associate Pastor at Bazzel Creek - PGBG sister church) said the funding they are receiving to support the food program from Wake County, will end in June, so our VBS mission project is happening at the perfect time. Kids from these neighborhoods will be attending VBS too!

VBS VOLUNTEERS ROCK!

We are so thankful for the many volunteers who have put on their Chef hats to make this the best VBS yet. It's going to be an awesome time of sharing the love of God and we couldn't do it without dedicated folks who have followed God's calling to serve. We appreciate you!
