  • Objective: 


    Lead and oversee a compelling, consistent, fluid communications and marketing ministry to the church and the community for our PGBC ministries.

     

    Reports to Minister of Adults

     

    Relates Closely With

    • Church Ministerial Staff
    • Administration Assistant
    • Student Communications Ministry Assistant

     

    21 Hours a Week         Working Onsite

     

    Responsibilities

    • Design, prepare and distribute all needed publications. 
    • Plan and implement communications, church sign, website and social media strategies to support the mission of the church.
    • Work with various ministries to post and maintain a consistent church wide calendar.
    • Maintain church membership records.
    • Answer the phone and be ready to assist office guests.
    • Keep consistent office hours as determined by the Pastor and Personnel Committee.
    • Meet regularly with supervisor to discuss directions, concerns, opportunities and accomplishments.
    • Perform other ministry duties as may be requested by supervisor.
    • Carry out responsibilities according to constitution and by-laws of Piney Grove Baptist Church, as related to this position.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • A good working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Publisher, Constant Contact, Canva, Planning Center, and Adobe Suite.
    • The ability to work within a consensus decision-making process as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism of all church matters.
    • Professional, courteous, and respectful interaction with church members and staff presenting a good Christian testimony to those who contact the church office.
    • Perform other administrative duties as may be requested by supervisor.
    • Compelling communications skills.
    • Must be willing to submit to a background check.

     

    Education and Experience

    • Preference will be given to those candidates with a minimal of a bachelor’s degree and 2 Years experience.

    Reports to Minister of Children and Minister of Youth

    • Church Communications Assistant
    • Finance Secretary

     

    21 Hours a Week         Working Onsite

     

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee student registration for all children, youth and young single adult ministry events, maintaining registration costs, deposits, and balances.
    • Design, implement and maintain student ministry communications through social media, website, newsletters, the church sign and various promotion publications.
    • Print weekly materials for student ministry.
    • Greet and assist office guests.
    • Perform other ministry duties as may be requested by supervisor.
    • Keep consistent office hours as determined by supervisor.
    • Meet regularly with supervisor to discuss directions, concerns, opportunities and accomplishments.
    • Carry out responsibilities according to constitution and by-laws of Piney Grove Baptist Church, as related to this position.
