SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
The Senior Adult ministry at Piney Grove is a vibrant ministry with a variety of events and experiences available for adults age 55+. This group lovingly refers to themselves as The JOY Group (Just Older Youth)! There is no doubt that this group of believers finds the JOY in all they do while sharing God's true JOY with the world around them.
MONTHLY GATHERINGS (2nd Thursdays)
The JOY Group meets on the second Thursday of each month for lunch and a guest speaker or project. Topics for these lunches can be anything from a devotional lead by Pastor Mike, an annual All-birthdays party, comedians, healthful living speakers/demonstrations, missions speakers, and more. Sometimes, in the place of our monthly meetings, we will plan a day trip or mission project. Check the calendar above for up to date info.
LOCAL OUTINGS & DAY TRIPS
This active group of adults enjoys local outings about once a quarter. Their adventures take them to places such as Gardens, Museums, Specialty shops, Restaurants, Theaters/Shows, and more. You never know what exciting adventure will be planned next. We also do missions projects several times per year.
LONG DISTANCE TRIPS
Like to travel? Long distance trips are planned once or twice each year. (Below is a photo of our group at the Creation Museum in 2022).
