OUR BELIEFS

We believe that the gospel of Christ is the hope of the world. This belief is the foundation of our church and as we seek to bring this hope to others, it is the center of all we preach, teach, and practice.

Additionally, here are a few of the specific beliefs we hold to:

GOD: We believe there is one and only one living and true God. He is the creator, redeemer, preserver, and ruler of the universe. He is all powerful and all-knowing. He is a triune God, meaning he exists eternally in three persons; The Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit.

JESUS: We believe that Jesus is the eternal son of God who came to earth as a human, miraculously born of a virgin, and yet never lost his divine attributes. He lived a sinless life and then willingly laid down his life as the substitutionary payment for the sins of the world. He rose from the dead, conquering death, hell, and the grave, giving us the opportunity to live eternally with God.

HOLY SPIRIT: We believe the Holy Spirit is the fully divine Spirit of God who dwells within the life of every believer giving spiritual gifts and empowering them to live godly lives.

BIBLE: We believe the bible is God’s holy word that was written by men who were divinely inspired by His Spirit and is God’s revelation of himself to mankind. It is totally true and trustworthy without any mixture of error. It is the standard by which human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried.

MANKIND: We believe that man is the special creation of God made in His own image. They were created male and female and were created without sin. Mankind willfully chose to disobey God and brought sin into humanity. This sin nature is passed down from generation to generation and can only be remedied by believing in Jesus Christ as personal savior.

SALVATION: We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood provided eternal redemption for the believer. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

BAPTISM: We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This occurs after a person has accepted Jesus as savior and symbolizes the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. This also symbolizes the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Baptism is one of the two church ordinances and is a prerequisite to becoming a church member.
