Piney Grove Kids

(INFANT-6TH GRADE)

The children’s ministry at Piney Grove Baptist Church seeks to come alongside parents to raise a generation of children who will seek God (Ephesians 3:17-19), serve others (Acts 1:8), and stand strong in their faith against the storms of life and the fiery darts of the Devil (I Corinthians 16:13.) In Short, Digging Deep, Reaching Out, and Growing Strong.

Piney Grove cares about your kids!  Our volunteers partner with the parents to teach biblical truths and love the children unconditionally, just as Christ loves us.  We are honored to share how Jesus is the Son of God. He died for our sins, rose from the dead, and will come back again!

KIDS WORSHIP & CLUB 56

SUNDAYS AT 11:00 AM

Kids Worship is a fun, energetic, interactive worship experience that your kids will love! This service is a high-energy experience designed to allow kids to worship God on their level in a way that speaks to their young hearts and minds. Activities in kids worship includes a Bible lesson, prayer time, songs, games, crafts, and snack. Parents, don't be surprised if your kids leave begging you to come back next week so they can worship some more!

Two age groups are provided for Kids Worship:

- Pre/K (ages 3 years old - Kindergarten) meets upstairs in the Pre/K department.

- Grade School (rising 1st grade - rising 4th grade) meets downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

Parents, please be sure to check-in your Pre/K kids in at the Welcome center desk before 11:00 am. They'll receive a name tag and you'll receive a pick-up slip for each child. Afterwards, Pre/K children may be picked up by only the person(s) designated on their name tag.

You will need to check-in your Elementary age kids at our Fellowship Hall door where they meet for Kids Worship each Sunday. Greeters will be available to help guide you to the right place.

Kids Sunday school

sundays 9:45am - 10:45am

Preschool Sunday School:

  • Nursery is provided for babies from birth through age 1 by seasoned, regular volunteers.
  • One & Two year-olds each have their own class and participate in age appropriate  curriculum. Teachers get kids worshiping God and knowing Jesus through movement, fun, and repetition.
  • Children ages 3 years-old through Kindergarten experience Bible study in their own classroom with their own age group. This time is designed around the way kids learn best to ensure every kid has an age-appropriate encounter with God's word.

Children’s Dept. Sunday School:

  • 1st - 4th Graders engage in the Explore the Bible curriculum.  Kids experience the Bible from cover to cover and encounter scripture in a way that sticks using engaging Bible objects. Kids share with peers close in age to encounter God's word in an age-appropriate way.
  • 5th & 6th grade preteens (*now known as CLUB 56) use the Grapple curriculum which is based on real questions asked by real 10-12 year olds to get them plunging into the Bible to find answers to their biggest questions about relationships, faith, and choices.

RA/GA/Mf Mission Groups

Wednesday Nights 7:00-8:00 pm (Sept- May)

Through Royal Ambassadors, Girls in Action and Mission Friends, Piney Grove kids learn about people near and far that need to hear about Jesus and about those who are showing these people His great love.  Mission groups also provide the children opportunities to put their faith into action through local service and ministry projects.

RA's (Royal Ambassadors) seek to share the truth that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  RA is designed to help boys in grades rising 1st - rising 6th come to faith in Christ as Savior, while making missions an important part of their daily lives.  They learn what it means to live a mission lifestyle while they participate in Bible study, mission projects and engaging activities. Some of the featured annual events that the boys enjoy are a Pinewood Derby car race, annual camping trip, fishing, Mother Son Brunch, and more!

GA's (Girls in Action) is designed to help girls in grades rising1st - rising 6th come to faith in Christ as Savior, while making missions an important part of their daily lives.  They build lasting memories as they "travel" to various places around the world when they learn about the work of missionaries.  They grow closer to God as they discover their part in His plan and they practice what they're learning through hands-on mission opportunities. Some of the featured annual events that the girls enjoy are the Father Daughter Valentine Dance, Mock Sleepover, Mother Daughter Tea, and more!

MF's (Mission Friends) is an ongoing missions discipleship organization for Pre/K boys and girls (3 years old-Kindergarten).  Through Mission Friends, preschoolers become aware that God wants everyone to know of His love, move from a focus on self to others, and apply Bible thoughts to their lives as they learn to pray, give and help others. Some of the things the kids enjoy are crafts, music, and games.
