Deacon Candidates for 2026
This year, we have 9 very qualified Deacon nominees. We have 7 places of service to fill. Each of their bios is listed below. Please prayerfully consider which of these nominees you will be voting for. We will vote on Sunday, August 23rd during both worship services. You can vote for up to 7 of the nominees at that time. You must be a church member in order to vote.
Keith Butner
Age: 64
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 25+
Keith is married to Kim, and they have 2 grown children, Lauren and Jonathan.
Keith has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Baptist men, Security, MMIA, Car Ministry, Deacon.
He enjoys serving others and staying active.
He has 5 wonderful grandchildren plus 1 in heaven.
Derek Drake
Age: 41
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 31
Derek is married to Eunice, and they have two children, Natasha and Daisy.
Derek has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Sunday School teacher, praise team, Deacon.
He enjoys weightlifting, volleyball, and video games.
Joe Green
Age: 55
Joe is married to Tracy, and they have two children, Jasper and Carleigh.
Joe has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Pro Presenter Assistant in Tech Booth, Transportation Committee, Special Events Committee, RA Cook, security, and VBS.
He enjoys fishing, boating, spending time with family, and church.

Rich Gould
Age: 68
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 11
Rich is married to Eva, and they have 2 grown children, Christine & Andrew.
Rich has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Adult Sunday School teacher, Baptist Men, TLC co-leader.
Ben Honeycutt
Age: 68
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 57
Ben is married to Joanne.
Ben has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Deacon, Baptist Men leader, bus driver, VBS, Greeter, Children’s Camp chaperone, RA director.
He enjoys Missions, Disaster Relief work, With Love from Jesus, Volunteering, traveling, fishing, and is a published author.
Brandon Inge
Age: 42
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 13
Brandon is married to Beth, and they have two children, Camden and Summerlyn.
Brandon has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Youth Sunday School teacher, Garden of Eaten, Safety team, Deacon.
He enjoys beach trips, college football, gardening, and whatever Beth tells me to do.
Brandon Johnson
Age: 33
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 3
Brandon is married to Melyn, and they have two children, Thatcher and Osbey
Brandon has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: KOZ and Grounds Committee
He enjoys hunting, farming, and spending time with family.
Andy Smith
Age: 44
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 4
Andy is married to Wendy, and they have three children, Cade, Colton, and Madelyn
Andy has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: Children’s SS Co-director, RA Leader, KOZ leader.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, lifting weights, hockey, and playing board games.
Deborah Worley
Years as a Piney Grove Member: 4
Deborah has three grown children, David, Dawn, and Daniel.
Deborah has served in the following areas at Piney Grove: OCC, WMU, Planning committee for RA and GA’s, Mission’s leader for her SS class.
She enjoys crafting, making jewelry, reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, and visiting shut ins.
