The children’s ministry at Piney Grove Baptist Church seeks to come alongside parents to raise a generation of children who will seek God (Ephesians 3:17-19), serve others (Acts 1:8), and stand strong in their faith against the storms of life and the fiery darts of the Devil (I Corinthians 16:13.) In Short, *Digging Deep*Reaching Out*Growing Strong*
We seek to do this through our teaching times...Preschool (1yr-K-5) – The Gospel Project* – This is a chronological study of the Bible to teach preschoolers that the Bible is one big story about God’s love for them through Christ. The Gospel Project for Preschool brings Bible stories to life through video, music, activities, and more. 1st & 2nd Grade – Jesus – What a Savior!** - Each lesson is designed to present the material, including Bible stories, in a way that proclaims the centrality of the greatness and worth of God. This chronological study on redemption focuses on God’s revelation of His Son, Jesus, as the one and only hope for desperate sinners—the good news of the Gospel!3rd & 4th Grade – The ABC’s of God** - The ABCs of God is a study for children on the greatness and worth of God. It uses the alphabet as a framework for learning the attributes of God and other terms that describe His character, at an age-appropriate level. Each lesson asks and answers three key questions, "Who is God?" "What is He like?" and "How should I act toward Him?" as it presents a theology of God for children.5th and 6th Grade – How Majestic is Your Name** - The names of God in the Bible are a reflection of His character, which is so glorious that He cannot be described by a single name. His character is communicated in hundreds of names progressively revealed in the Bible. However, these are merely the structure to show the greatness of our God. Each lesson presents glorious truths about God and encourages students to see and rejoice in His goodness and greatness.Mission Groups on Wednesday night where kids learn about people near and far that need to hear about Jesus and about those who are showing these people His great love. In contrast to our “me-central” world, our mission groups also provide the children opportunities to put their faith into action through local service and ministry projects. Our children's choir meets on Sunday night and leads children to experience the joy of music and how to use it to glorify God. Each year the kids present two musicals, perform at the FallFest Community Festival and help lead worship occasionally during our Sundays services. Summer brings Vacation Bible School--a weeklong event of energetic fun, music, crafts, Bible stories and wacky gameplay.
